North Otago CapWelcome to noca.co.nz the home of the North Otago Cricket Association. Cricket has been played in North Otago for over 140 years with the first known game in 1864, between members of the then newly formed Oamaru Cricket Club. Each season, four clubs and two school teams compete for the Borton Cup the symbol of North Otago cricket sepremacy and winner of the North Otago Senior Competition.

Throughout North Otago's history there have been many highlights. In the 1800's, during the early years of cricket tours, the Oamaru Cricket Club played matches against Australian and English teams, while in the 1950's North Otago played what is possibly the most memorable match in its history, against a West Indies side containing Alf Vallentine, OG Smith and cricket legend Sir Garflield Sobers.

The North Otago Cricket Association is on the look out for any old North Otago Senior Team scorebooks or scorecards from the past in order to update our player statistics and team records. If you have any information on the possible location of these please contact us at: repstats@noca.co.nz
