In a game marred by the weather Mid-Canterbury beat North Otago by 110 runs at the week-end.

Having first strike the visitors at calling time on Saturday had lost six for 163, and they raised that total to 279. Griffiths played an invaluable innings for his side. Sandri and Collings were the most successful of the home bowlers.

For North Otago Bean played a solid knock of 62 not out. Geddes and Sandri were the only others to play the bowling any confidence.
