Union made it four wins a row in the Dick Hunt twenty20 cricket at Waitaki Boys' High School artificial pitches on Saturday. In the 12.30pm game Oamaru, batting first, batted through its 20 overs to make 146 for six. Regan George top-scored with 46, James Mallinson added 37 and Ben Cant made 25. Union in reply, made 147 for five in 19.3 overs. Glynn Cameron top scored with 42. Duncan Drew added 26 and Jeremiah Shields was not out 36. Bowling for Oamaru, George took two for 28.

In the second game of the afternoon Eastern, batting first, made 109 for five in its 20 overs with Bradley Williams unbeaten on 58. For Union, Brad Fleming took two for five off four overs; Matt Lilley took two for 25.

In the 12.30pm game Albion, batting first against Eastern, made 171 for four in its 20 overs, Jeremy Smith top-scoring with 51 while Amir Mirza (27) Peter Cartwright (24) and Matt Day (29) made solid contributions. Bowling for Eastern, Dave Oldham took two for 24 and Bradley Williams two for 43.
