Union and Waitaki Boys had wins in Borton Cup cricket played on artificial pitches at St Kevin's College on Saturday.

Batting first against Albion, Waitaki Boys made 191 for eight in its fifty overs with Francois Mostert(57), Thomas Hutton(21) and Nathan Smith(20) the best of the batsmen while with the ball for Albion Jeremy Smith took three for 44, Terry Weir, two for 17 and Ricky Whyte,two for 48.

Albion was dismissed for 161 in the forty fifth over with Zac Wade top scoring with 55 runs while Jeremy Smith added 28.Bowling for Waitaki Boys Hayden Creedy took three for 27 and Francois Mostert, two for 14.

Union cruised to a nine wicket win over Oamaru/St Kevins which batting first was dismissed for just 91 runs in thirty six overs. Logan van Rooy top scored with 19. Bowling for Union Sam Bastin took three for 26 and Brad Fleming,three for 14. Union passed the target with nine wickets in had. Openers Glynn Cameron(54 not out) and Duncan Drew produced an opening stand of 48.
