The final round of the Dick Hunt trophy was played on Saturday with Valley registering a win over Albion and Union defeating Oamaru. The final next weekend will be between Valley with three wins and Albion which makes the final due to its win over Union in the qualifying rounds.

Batting first at King George Park, Union made 221 for four in its fifty overs with Dylan Edwards(46) leading the way but he was given solid backing from Glyn Cameron(39), Dan Martin(38 not out), Paul Johnston(32 not out) and Dan Conlan(23) with Johnston and Martin adding eighty in an unbeaten fifth wicket stand. Bowling for Oamaru Robbie Breen too two for 25. Oamaru was dismissed for 154 in the thirty third over with Matt Murphy(24), Robbie Breen(24 not out) and Hamish Robertson(22) the best of the batsmen. Bowling for Union Dan Conlan took three for 31 and Glyn Cameron, two for 34.
