Valley registered its first win in Borton Cup cricket when it defeated Oamaru/St Kevin's by six wickets at Weston Park. Batting first Oamaru was dismissed for just sixty runs in the twenty-third over. Reuben Simpson claimed five for 33 and Cameron Grubb, four for sixteen.

Valley needed only thirteen overs to pass the opposition' s total losing four wickets in the process. Andrew Harding top scored with 21 while bowling for Oamaru/St Kevin's Nick Johnston took two for 26 and Robbie Breen, two for 23.

Union got home against Waitaki Boys first X1 by just five runs with Union's Paul Johnston dismissed the last Waitaki Batsmen to give him his four hundredth wicket in senior club cricket. Batting first Union made 146 for eight in its fifty overs with Glynn Cameron(35), Sam Bastin(34) and Dylan Edwards(25) the major contributors while for Waitaki Boys Glen McLea took three for 28 and Blake Martin, two for 26.

After thirty two overs Waitaki Boys was struggling at 80 for eight but Hayden Creedy(32) and McLea(39) carried the side through to 141 before Johnston claimed his wicket. For Union Dan Conlan took two for 21, Matt Sillito for 17 and Charlie Saunders, three for 44.
