The Otago B cricket team scored an outright win over North Otago in the match which was concluded at Mosgiel yesterday.

Otago B continued from its overnight first innings total of 63 for seven wickets, to be all out for 135. The highlight of the innings was a fine 50 from B.D. Milburn who was particularly strong on the on-side.

In reply, North Otago was quickly in trouble, losing four wickets for 24 runs, but some fine batting from Wheeler (37) and Geddes (29) took the score through to 153.

With Otago requiring 155 to win, R. Maxwell and R. Stewart quickly dominated the attack in a fine stand that realised 84 runs before Steward was bowled for 39. J. Barrie (25) and S. McSkimming (22) also scored quickly to allow S. Boock to hit the winning runs for Otago B in the last over.
