Tim O'Malley looks to hit square against Otago Country, Tim would score 95 in North Otago's first innings total of 352
Wednesday, 5 December 1956

A very competent century knock by J.R. Reid placed North Otago in a favourable position in a two-day match against Metropolitan begun in Dunedin yesterday. The Metropolitan out cricket was not impressive and at the close of the first day North Otago had scored 211 for loss of six wickets, in reply to Metropolitan's 172. The North Otago fielding was keen and competent in response to Reid's example. Allan and Reid both bowled effectively to secure four wickets each.
