The resumption yesterday of the match North Otago v. an Otago team was delayed by the wetness of the ground as a result of overnight rain. The North Otago side having lost four wickets for 19 were in a bad way. Zimmerman however, made 60, batting at first restrained and later hitting his best form, and the score was raised to 128. North Otago followed on and fared little better. The early wickets fell rapidly but Doig (25), Kelk (36) and Tilbery (32) batted very brightly and brought the total just past Otago's first innings score. Otago won by 10 wickets.
