North Otago and Auckland Touring Team
The North Otago Primary Reps team celebrate the last wicket in the victory over West Coast in Westport.
Saturday, 2 January 1932

On a batsmen's wicket the Auckland team took strike, and though their opening pair were not very impressive, Lyon looked a class batsmen before J. Robertson cut Iris career short by holding a cannon-ball shot close in at mid-on. He knocked the ball up with one hand and caught it with the other. Vician, the King's College captain, opened brightly, and batted very well for his 98, while all the tail-enders dropped catches and misfielding helped themselves at the expense of the bowlers. Uttley and H. Robertson opened for North Otago, to Lyon and Langton. Uttley played the former hard to point. Uttley played the former hard to point and ran but Robertson was a yard out when the wicket was broken at the other end. Uttley had made only two when he was bowled with an off-break by Langton.
