The two day match between North Otago and Riverina ended in a drawn game, though at one stage the local side looked fated for defeat, as one after the other of their batsmen succumbed to the attack of J. Smith. Geddes again played an invaluable innings and, supported, by K. Murray, placed a greatly improved complexion to the game.
