Union will host Albion, while St Kevin’s will host Valley in this season’s edition of the Borton Cup semi-finals after the final round was completed in weekend.
St Kevins confirmed their second placing after a dominant win over Glenavy.
Led by opener Jack Kelly’s 59, with Liam Direen making 32 and Campbell Fowler getting 22, the college side made 163 all out in 42 overs.
For Glenavy Harry Murphy took 4-21, Ross McCulloch 3-39 and Zach Graham took 2-37.
Glenvay in its chase was in trouble right from the start of its innings, losing wickets without forming any partnerships, lasting only 27.4 overs, all out for 67. Toby Walton took 3-10, Fowler took 3-20 and Liam Cameron 2-10.
Valley leapfrogged Albion into third place with an impressive eight wicket win over Albion.
Albion batted first at its home ground, being 30-0 before losing 10 wickets for the addition of only 54 runs. First change bowlers Jack Cameron (3-24) and Dallas Mahuika (5-21) ripped through Albion’s batting line up, as they struggled to 84 all out in the 24th over. For Albion Albert Francis (21) made the only score of any significance.
Defending the small total, Albion looked like they might have a chance of having Valley 2-34 but Lachlan Kingan had other ideas. When Valley passed the required target, he had raced to 43 not out of 24 balls, in 11.3 overs, and without the loss of any further wickets.
Oamaru hosted Waitaki with both teams playing for pride.
Waitaki batted first and made 180 all out in 46.3 overs. Billy Wilson top scored with 47, while Hunter Wardle reached 36. For Oamaru Quinn Wardle took 3-24, Nick Johnston 3-30 and Zach Naldrett 2-44.
Oamaru made 150 all out in 44.1 overs, Luke Taylor 24 and Kuljeet Singh 24. Lochie Mavor took 4-37, Hunter Wardle 3-24 and Alex Wilson 2-25.
